Win a paper lover’s trip to the world’s most wonderful paper mill

Our world may be slowly moving away from 3000 years of paper-based history, but at paper republic we believe in the importance of paper - be it as a book, notebook or newspaper - and it has never been so important to our future as it is right now; it’s an expression of culture, art, beauty, uniqueness and tangible reality.
For us, that reality begins in the beautiful area of Munkedal, about 100 km north of Göteborg, where, nestled amongst towering Swedish forests, lies one of the most beautifully-situated and environmentally-friendly paper mills in the world: Arctic Paper Munkedals AB. This is the place where Munken, the paper that is used in all our notebooks is produced and what better way to show you our enthusiasm for paper than to take you with us to Sweden from 15-17th June, 2020 to visit the home of Munken! 

Arctic Paper and paper republic invite one of you to join a small group of paper lovers on a special tour: explore the factory at which Munken is produced, wander in the Swedish nature, do some fishing, take a swim in a beautiful Swedish lake and relax by the campfire. During this trip you will stay at the wonderful Munkedal Manor House. Also, we will visit one of the unique printing houses in Sweden. We trust you’ll remember to pack your best travel notebook to take down all the memories.

Share a secret on paper

Our republic of paper lovers come from many different backgrounds, and everyone has a unique and personal interaction with paper, how they use it, what they create with it: trained professionals, graphic designers, amateur writers, private scribblers, public show-casers, diary makers, doodlers, artists, architects, musicians...the list is endless.
We share huge parts of our lives online, but our secrets and deepest feelings are best kept on paper. No matter if it’s our inner-most thoughts written down in a journal or our confessions in a love letter. What makes paper so special is what you do with it, and who you share it with.
So:
Send us a secret that you would like to share with us on a post card or letter, or anything as long as it’s on paper. It can be a funny little story about paper, it can also be nice calligraphy, a little drawing or a secret inside origami which we literally have to unfold.

    This promotion is limited to European residents only. The grand prize includes airfare to Gothenburg as well as accommodation and meals during June 15-17th, 2020. Possible departure airports are Vienna, Prague and Budapest. Final travel details & itinerary will be communicated with the winner before May 30, 2020. The winner must be 18 years or older and hold all the right travel documents applicable to a trip to Sweden.

    This competition is not open to employees of paper republic and Arctic Paper. A jury will pick the 3 best submissions and determine the winner of the grand, second and third prize. All winners will be contacted via email by March 30th 2020. The winner of the grand prize has a maximum of 5 days to confirm that he/she accepts the prize and submit a copy of his/her passport to our team.
