how it works
1. Contact us directly via e-mail at atelier@paper-republic.com and give us as much information as you can about your special leather companion.
2. Our l’atelier team will review your request and get back to you with any questions, and then provide you with cost details and a timeframe for production. If you have any questions, our l'atelier team will advise you on the possibilities and guide you through the process.
3. Sit back and relax while we handcraft your unique, one-of-a-kind companion. We will keep you updated about the making of your new companion and when it will arrive.
The entire process usually takes around 10-12 weeks.

From fully custom sizes and shapes to special leather applications, embroidery, and embossing, every detail is yours to define.
Choose from any leather color, design entirely new forms, or bring us an idea that doesn’t yet exist. If you can imagine it, we’ll find a way to make it real.
product sustainability
All our leather products are handmade in our workshop in Vienna using the finest quality, vegetable-tanned vachetta leather. Our leather comes from a family-run tannery in Tuscany, Italy and is certified by the "Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium (Pelle al Vegetale)". The leather is tanned using only natural raw materials in a traditional and eco-friendly process. No chrome is used in the tanning process.
l'atelier return policy
Since every creation from l’atelier is individually crafted just for you, custom-made products cannot be returned or exchanged. However, if your product arrives damaged or does not meet the agreed specifications, please contact us immediately. Our team will find a solution to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your unique companion.
